Kohra

Kohra (ک()رہ — Urdu for fog/mist) is a producer, DJ and founder of Qilla Records based out of the coastal town of Goa, India. A storyteller drawn to the veil between the ancient and the astral, his sets float through ambient, acid, trance, techno, and jungle—guided by a psychedelic thread that holds the listener suspended between these worlds. He sculpts fluid sounds that bend the mind and body, shapeshifting just as you begin to grasp them. His sets have taken him to dance floors across Asia, Europe and the UK. His sound holds the temple and the tempest in perfect tension, guided by the spirit of an immersive voyage. His releases span across global imprints like Bedrock, Spacelab, Huinali, Inner Tension, Mana Abundance, Liquid Drop Groove, Crescent London, Harmony Records and Further Sessions to name a few. He also set up Qilla (قلعه Urdu – fort or castle) Records in 2011 - an infrastructure that shelters architects of unique sound and sight, contributing to its own ever-evolving design. In 2024, the label celebrated its 100th release with a landmark compilation titled “Chakravyuh” featuring over 35 artists from across the globe, reaffirming its commitment to community and experimentation.
